This website (jessicatillipman.com) is provided for informational and educational purposes. It does not sell products or services, run advertising, accept payments, or offer public comments.
Information you provide
Email subscriptions. If you subscribe to receive updates, Jetpack/Automattic processes your email address and the ID of the post (or comment) you subscribed to. When a new subscription is initiated, Jetpack also collects basic server data (including HTTP request headers, your IP address, and the page URI) to monitor and prevent abuse and spam.
Direct communications. If you contact me (for example, by email), I use the information you provide to respond.
Information collected automatically
Site analytics (Jetpack Stats). This site uses Jetpack Stats to understand general site usage. Jetpack Stats processes information such as IP address, user agent, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps, browser language, and country code. If you are logged into WordPress.com while visiting, Jetpack may also process WordPress.com identifiers. I view aggregate statistics and do not have access to visitor-identifying data through Jetpack Stats reports. Jetpack/Automattic retains Stats logs for 28 days.
Hosting and security logs. The hosting provider and service providers may maintain standard server and security logs (for example, IP address, request time, and requested pages) for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
Cookies
Jetpack sets functionality cookies for up to 347 days to remember a visitor’s subscription choices (if the visitor has an active subscription). Embedded content (such as video or podcast players) may also use cookies under the third party’s policies.
Embedded content and third parties
Some pages may include embedded content (for example, video players or podcast players). Third parties may collect data about you, use cookies, or track your interaction according to their own policies. I do not control third-party data practices
How information is used
Information is used to operate and improve the website, send updates to subscribers, respond to inquiries, and maintain site security and performance.
Sharing of information
I do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers supporting site functionality (including Jetpack/Automattic for subscriptions and site statistics, and the site’s hosting provider). Service providers may disclose information as required by law or to protect rights and security, consistent with their own policies.
Data retention
Subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed. Jetpack Stats logs are retained for a limited period (documented as 28 days). Operational and security logs may be retained for limited periods consistent with provider practices.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any subscription email. You may contact me with questions about this policy.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
